A message from the SFL President

Welcome to the 2022 SFL and SFLW seasons.

After months of planning, it’s fantastic to see the SFL and SFLW competitions in full flight. COVID-19 is still presenting some challenges with player shortages and close contacts but the clubs are managing this the best they can under the current COVID-19 protocols.

The SFL Board are pleased to welcome the following sponsors for the 2022 season.

·  Naming rights men’s competition: Banjos Bakery’s

·  Naming rights women’s competition: LJ Hooker

·  Official Ball sponsor: Clennett’s Mitre 10

·  Official gear provider: ID Clothing

·  Representative Teams: Male and Female: Haymes Paint

I personally wish to thanks the above businesses for their backing of the SFL & SFLW competitions and I would appreciate your support of these businesses during the year.

Sponsorship revenue has now reached an all-time high for the SFL and this provides us with opportunity’s to offset costs to clubs.

I would like to take this opportunity to show my appreciation to all those involved that work tirelessly behind the scenes to get clubs up and going for the season and the volunteers that make everything happen on game day. I continue to be in awe of your passion and commitment to your community clubs.

The SFL and SFLW clubs work extremely hard with their local communities and I believe this sets the SFL competition apart from the other leagues. Sporting clubs provide many beneficial outcomes in their local communities throughout the south whether generating economic impact for local businesses or just providing a social occasion for the community to catch up.

I wish to thank George and the team at AFL Tasmania for your ongoing assistance.

I would like to wish our clubs a successful season on and off the field and look forward to catching up with you all throughout the season.

We have much to look forward to in 2022.
